Answering A Few Questions
Planning your wedding is a big subject and our job is to make things as simple as possible. So, we have pulled together a few common questions we regularly get asked. That said, there is nothing better than a chat over coffee, so let’s get a date in the diary to discuss your vision further.
Hopefully you are thinking “their stuff looks nice” and “they have been helpful” but a ball park figure is a useful starting point. We have created a sample proposal based on 100 guests. This will not be your exact vision but will provide you with a good idea of how things are generally broken down.
1. Hidden costs
We try to be as transparent as possible with everything we do. The main things that we often find don’t get factored in are staffing, equipment hire and VAT (all prices we quote are excluding VAT).
2. Staffing
All staff are charged at £20 per hour regardless of role, this is another part of making life as easy as possible. Clients sometimes asked where they can shave a few pennies and staffing is often suggested. We work on a ratio of 1 member of staff to every 12 guests at a wedding. We pride ourselves on our service and it is something we are always careful to maintain.
3. What about equipment hire
Equipment hire includes cutlery, crockery, glassware, linen, tables and chairs etc. We work with a number of specialist companies and as a result, there are lots of different options for you to consider. Invariably your choices will affect the cost. We take care of all the organisation, delivery & set up.
4. Dietary stuff
Our menus are broken down to list the main dietary considerations. What if a guest has an intolerance to something specific? No worries, our menus are analysed to show exactly what ingredients go in each dish. Take a look at the dietary requirements breakdown and it goes without saying, you are very welcome to direct a guest to chat through any specific requirements.
5. Location
We deliver events across Europe but our typical catchment area is London and the South East.
6. Cost
This is a big question. It is difficult for us to give an accurate proposal without getting together to discuss your plans in more depth. As such we have included a sample proposal above. This will do a good job of providing an outline of costs for your consideration.
7. Something to drink?
Of course! We are good at three things – food, drink & service. Take a look at our bar guide for more details or our signature cocktails for drinks inspiration. We don’t believe in charging corkage. If you would like to bring your own bubbles and wine for the day, we are more than happy to serve it.
8. Next steps
Hopefully this has helped to answer a few questions. Love to chat further? Here’s how to get in touch.
