Wedding case study – Emma & Jamie

Background

Your wedding is one of the biggest days of your life. We know choosing the perfect caterer is a big decision. With over 60 years collective experience in the events industry, we know our way around a canapé or two. That said, we deliberately limit the number of weddings we do in a year so we can concentrate on you and a day you will never forget.  Emma & Jamie were a very special couple who captured our imagination. It was a privilege to be chosen to cater for their special day.

Brief

The wedding took place in a location near Dunsfold in Surrey. The event celebrated ‘classic’ with vintage tables, aged barrels, fire pits and seating provided by hay bales. The venue is very outdoors and Emma & Jamie wanted to make the most of a beautiful summers day. Flowers were supplied by the wonderful Mad Lilies who also decorated the barn with hops. Wedding photographer Married to my Camera perfectly captured the feels (for whom credit needs to go for the wonderful photo of the happy couple on this page).

The Four Gables Touch

It was a beautiful summers day. The food was designed to reflect the decoration of classic, vintage and outdoors. After the ceremony, the happy couple celebrated with a drinks reception and canapés held in the garden. Singing waiters serenaded the guests while our very own Nigel acted as toastmaster. Guests chatted over sharing platters of harissa marinated lamb rump; duck leg confit; truffled potato salad and cauliflower cheese croquettes. Desserts included a delicious summer berry Eton mess washed down with ‘his and hers’ cocktails.

Into the evening, the band set the mood while guests sat on hay bales around fire pits in the courtyard. Four Gables served a plethora of street food such as pulled pork sliders and cajun marinaded brisket served from the van in the court yard. It was a wonderful day and the perfect way to celebrate the start of Emma & Jamie’s adventures together.
